- The vehicle will not be used to carry more passengers or cargo than the maximum allowed as specified in the vehicle’s specifications, and no modifications will be made to the vehicle.
- The vehicle will not be driven outside of Lithuania unless prior notice is given, for which the lessor may charge an additional fee according to the price list. If the cross-border and territorial restrictions for the vehicle’s use are violated, all insurance coverage will become void.
- The user will cover all expenses related to using the vehicle, such as fuel, tolls, bridge fees, parking fees, and road traffic violations. The user authorizes the lessor to charge any road traffic violations, parking fines, or other penalties that arise during the rental period, based on Lithuanian laws or other applicable legal acts. These costs will be subject to administrative fees and charged to the debit or credit card used to sign the rental contract.
- If the user is a legal entity, with prior written notice and consent, the user may allow an employee who meets the specified requirements to use the rented vehicle. In this case, the user must familiarize the driver with the terms and obligations in the contract, but this does not reduce the legal entity’s responsibility to comply with these conditions. The vehicle will not transport animals unless they are placed in appropriate transport boxes. A cleaning fee may be applied for any dirt caused by transporting animals.
DAMAGES AND LOST/DAMAGED EQUIPMENT – If the vehicle is damaged, equipment or tools are missing, or documents, license plates, or keys are lost, the user must reimburse all costs. The vehicle user is responsible for engine and mechanical parts damage (e.g., due to lack of oil, coolant, or other fluids), damage to the crankcase, clutch damage (burnt clutch), damage to the vehicle’s chassis, loss or damage of documents and keys, loss or damage of license plates, vehicle interior damage, burnt seats, improper fuel filling, or other breakdowns caused by the user’s or additional driver’s negligence (e.g., reckless driving or off-road driving). In such cases, the vehicle user must compensate the lessor for the full repair costs, plus any lost income due to the vehicle being out of service, for a maximum of 30 days, and any other damage such as transport costs or decreased vehicle value after the damage.
THEFT, ACCIDENT, OR BREAKDOWN – In case of an accident, vehicle damage, theft, engine failure, or other similar circumstances, the user must:
Prevent further damage to the rented vehicle until it is taken over by the lessor.
Record the names, addresses, and contact details of witnesses and other participants.
Call the police and obtain an incident report, except for engine failures.
Notify the nearest lessor’s office about the incident.
The user must report the damage to the police. If the user does not provide a police report or accident declaration, they will cover all costs related to the damage or loss of the vehicle.
REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES TO THE LESSOR – The lessor will reimburse the user for any expenses incurred during the rental period for oil, mandatory maintenance, minor repairs, etc., except for cases caused by the lessor’s fault, vehicle washing costs, and fuel expenses. To be reimbursed for these expenses, the user must have received the lessor’s representative’s consent.
LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE (FRANCHISE) – The liability for damage can be reduced by purchasing the appropriate insurance package if the damage was not caused by a breach of the contract terms or improper use of the vehicle. The liability for damage or theft can be reduced by purchasing damage coverage (CDW/TP). With this insurance, the user’s liability for damage or theft and the difference between the deductible (franchise) and the total damage amount is reduced. If the user purchases and pays for partial coverage (PCDW), they can limit their liability for vehicle damage. Full liability coverage (SCDW) can be purchased to further limit liability for vehicle damage. However, SCDW does not cover damage to the chassis, vehicle interior (unless damaged in an accident), or any damage without a police report or accident declaration.
The user authorizes the lessor to charge their credit/debit card for any costs, damages, or losses up to the deductible or full damage amount, in cases where the user does not comply with the general terms.
OTHER TERMS – The lessor is not responsible for any damage the user may incur due to delayed delivery of the vehicle or for damage resulting from the vehicle breakdown during the rental period. The lessor has the right to terminate the rental contract and immediately take the vehicle if the user fails to comply with any of these terms or the rental contract’s provisions, or if the vehicle is damaged. The termination of the rental service does not affect the lessor’s other rights established in these terms and conditions.
By signing the rental contract, the user confirms they have read, understood, and agree to the fines and penalties application rules and other conditions. The user agrees to take full responsibility for any damage caused by violating the rules and/or conditions specified in this document. The user agrees that the lessor can charge their card for any damage to the vehicle, including cases where a fine/fee exceeds the user’s personal liability amount.
